This was done in around 1.5hrs.
The hardest part was colouring in the thing, cos I had used a fuzzy drawing tip to outline it, and so when it was time to fill there were lots of white and grey areas.. hence u can see some of it esp on the dress.. but that created a nice white outline pattern which is coool! [but if I didn't have to do that I would have completed it in about an hour..
Anyway this is my first time drawing an anime character on computer!
Sakura's face is a bit warped... but yeh.. it Is late :P and I'm tired, had a long day~~

Not bad for a first attempt. You're improving to be honest. Get use to one program at a time. Soon you'll have to try your hand at Photoshop CS2. That opens so many locked doors and so many possibilities, including two for your background behind the art work itself. You're getting much better, and hope you keep doing what your doing ^_^

gimp is supposed to be similar to photoshop and paintshop pro..
i used to have an evaluation trial of paintshop pro hehe.. :)
i've used photoshop in school when helping out do layouts for a school magazine :)

You can do so many things with Photoshop as you've seen here I'm more than sure. I've honestly never heard of gimp. Can't say I'll look into it though cus I have PS lol but hey, if it's got a custumizable gradient tool and a selection tool, I'm sure you could find some awesome things to do with those two tools alone. :D keep it up ^_^
